Mindfulness is the ability to be present, to rest in the here and now, fully engaged with whatever we’re doing in the moment. We can’t control what happens in life, but we do have the potential to transform the way in which we relate to those things. When we sit with the mind, we can train it to be more open and at ease, and consequently discover greater calm, clarity, contentment, and compassion.
